Montreal Adolescent Dog Classes - Balanced Dog Training For Adolescent Dogs

We are so excited to introduce our newest Adolescent Dog Classes! If you are having difficulty with your feisty teenage pooch, or need support on undesirable behaviors, this class is best for you. Our class is led by our certified Trainer Angel and Veterinary Technician! It is appropriate for dogs age 6 months - 2 years old.

OUR APPROACH

We see dogs as canine individuals, living in a world made for us, which they can learn to understand and enjoy with our help. Our classes are designed to train you, as the person responsible for their well-being, to guide them successfully through their life as a member of your family. Our classroom provides an ideal environment in which to learn the basics, but it is in the real world you will need to work on them and apply them on a constant basis.

We take a practical, caring and positive approach to dog training, translating dog behaviour to help us understand and set up our companions for success in our world. The more we understand the 'why' of our pets' behaviours, the easier it is to find a solution at the root and change unwanted behaviour for the long-term.

COURSE DETAILS

4 Sessions - 75 minute classes weekly - 350$

Includes 10 minutes supervised free play

COURSE OVERVIEW

Get to the root of common behavioural issues in a safe, and moderated environment with other parents. Help your pup become the best version of themselves:

• Canine health, care, feeding, and behaviour
• Find the root and work through reactivity
• Tackle issues on leash and walks
• Desensitization basics: ignoring and being comfortable with distractions
• Reinforcing general obedience commands like: recall, basics (sit, stay, lie down)

A certificate will be provided upon successful completion of the course.

PUP STUDENTS

Your pup must be:

• 6 Months - 2 years old
• Up-to-date in their vaccines
• Non-aggressive towards other humans and dogs
• Intact females must not be in season

*Pups 2-3 years old may join class following a successful private consultation (Consultation - 100$ and additional fee of 50$ per class).

HUMAN STUDENTS

We kindly require:

• Your pup is accompanied by their primary handler
• Secondary handlers, children included, are encouraged to attend
• Your pup be well-exercised and not fed lunch prior to classes
• You arrive on-time, and in a calm a manner. Rushing in class excites and distracts not only your pup, but also other pups

EQUIPMENT

• All pups must wear a collar and arrive on leash * can be purchased at our pet store
• Harnesses are encouraged in addition to a collar
• Leashes must be at least 6ft in length (non-retractable)
• Non-slip walking shoes

A 5% rebate will apply to all boutique products, such as food, toys, collars and leashes purchased during classes.

A 15% reduction will be provided to parents who have also taken our puppy courses.

Private dog training also sessions available upon request.
